A group of travellers recently evicted from Moor Park have moved onto parks in Fulwood and Ashton.
Yesterday afternoon, on Wednesday 11 August, motorhomes and caravans were spotted driving onto Ashton Park in Ashton-on-Ribble. There have also been reports that travellers have arrived in Conway Park in Fulwood.
Preston City Council said they were aware of the Ashton Park encampment and sent officers to the site to make contact with the group.

A spokesperson for Preston City Council said: “We have commenced the process to remove the group from the site. Any waste left behind will be cleared when they have moved on.”
The travellers were evicted from Moor Park following concerns that the site would interfere with the Rockprest 2021 music festival, which runs from Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 August.
Travellers have been seen in many areas across the region this summer, with a group evicted from Haslam Park before moving to Ribbleton Park and then to Moor Park last week.
