Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service last night dealt with a blaze involving an electricity pylon.
Crews were called shortly after 7pm on Saturday (28 August) to the fire in Birks Brow, Thornley.
Four fire engines from Preston, Fulwood, and Penwortham attended the fire, which spread from a diesel generator to both the electricity pylon and a commercial property.
Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire over a period of two hours.
No injuries were reported.
