St Walburge Church in Ashton-on-Ribble are hosting a fundraising event on Sunday, August 1 from 12.30pm to 4pm.
AdvertisementThere will be stalls, games and refreshments and the whole community are invited to head down and enjoy the fun.
The event will help to renovate the church after it was secured in 2014 when its care was handed to the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
The Canons of the Institute have been working hard to renovate the church and are continually in need of substantial funds to do this.

Currently, the roof leaks when it rains, the plaster is peeling and the toilets need refurbishing.
As a Grade 1 building these jobs need particular care and as a Shrine Church, one without a specific parish, fundraising is a constant challenge.
Now that Covid restrictions are relaxing, the church can invite the public to help once again.
The second event is an Organ Concert on Saturday, August 21 at 6.30 pm.
