A group of 16 volunteers are holding a Family Fun Day tomorrow to raise funds for homeless people in Preston.
On Wednesday 28 July, as part of their community social action project, the volunteers will offer a range of family games, including name the teddy, football shootout, higher or lower, and many more. Most games will only cost 50p or £1.
There will also be face painting and a photo booth, which the volunteers will use to help them create a hashtag on social media, to tackle poverty and bring people together.

Volunteer Parys Walton said: “We’re raising funds, as we have watched many who struggled during the lockdown, not being able to buy food and sanitary products.”
Preston’s City Church is hosting the event, and it will run from 12.00 to 16.00.
The team have also partnered with the KGN Food Store in Deepdale. The company are allowing them to place baskets on the premises for food and sanitary product donations.

Parys said: “This means if you can’t help out at the fundraiser, you can always donate something in store. We have also had many donations of gifts as prizes from some big-name companies.”
