Police appeal after white van targets young female in Longridge

Police are appealing for information after a white van approached a young female in Preston Road, Longridge.

The occupants of the van frightened the young female before driving away. Her parents later contacted the police.

The incident happened on Tuesday 29 June at around 3.15pm.

A spokesperson for Longridge Police said: “If you were walking in this particular area and witnessed the incident please email PC 4394 Fielding at 4394@lancashire.police.uk.

“If you were driving in the area when this incident occurred, could you also contact PC Fielding too. Especially anyone with a dash cam who may have caught the incident, please could you review it to see if it has caught anything.”

Anyone with information can also contact the control room via 101 quoting log 1084 of the 29/6/21, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
