Parts of the M65 at Bamber Bridge still closed due to oil spill in the carriageway

Preston Police have taken to twitter to warn people that due to yesterday’s oil spill on part of the M65, the motorway is still closed in both directions.

The road was being resurfaced yesterday (Monday, July 5).

Closures are in place from J29A Blacow to M65 J1 to end Westbound M65 North to M65 West.

Police are urging drivers to avoid the area, and an update will be provided in due course.
