A tree has fallen in Ashton-on-Ribble after Saturday’s thunderstorm.

Tulketh Road was closed after the tree fell on the stretch between Douglas Street and Swansea Street.

The Met Office has issued another yellow warning for more heavy showers and thunderstorms today (Sunday 4 July).

There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

The weather could cause delays and some cancellations to train and bus services, while spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
