This weekend is set to be a scorcher across Preston – a stark contrast to the torrential rain of last weekend.

Here’s an hour-by-hour forecast for the city this weekend:

Saturday (July 17)

Midnight – 17 degrees, clear with zero chance of rain (aka covers off weather)

1am – Dropping to 16 degrees with zero chance of rain

2am – Staying at 16 degrees

3am – Dropping to 15 degrees and still no chance of rain

4am – Staying at 15 degrees

5am – Dropping to 14 degrees, clear with no chance of rain

6am – Mostly sunny with a bit of cloud and back up to 15 degrees

7am – Mostly sunny and 16 degrees

8am – Mostly sunny and 18 degrees

9am – Mostly sunny and 19 degrees (slowly climbing!)

10am – 21 degrees and mostly sunny

11am – 22 degrees and mostly sunny (still 0 per cent chance of rain)

12pm – Still 22 degrees and still glorious sunshine…slather yourself in sun cream

1pm – 23 degrees (this is the peak of the day, enjoy it, but stay in the shade as much as possible!)

2pm – It’s starting to cool down now at 22 degrees

3pm – 22 degrees and still no chance of rain

4pm – 22 degrees…no rain…mostly sunny

5pm – 22 degrees and…is that BBQ weather we smell?

6pm – 21 degrees, mostly sunny and no way it’s going to rain

7pm – We smell sausages…it’s 21 degrees

8pm – 20 degrees and sunny

9pm – 18 degrees and sunny (cooling down a little bit now)

10pm – The sun is setting and it’s 17 degrees (looks like another night of covers off…)

11pm – 16 degrees

Sunday (July 18)

Midnight – 16 degrees (we hope you’ve got a cooling pillow handy)

1am – Still 16 degrees

2am – 15 degrees, no chance of rain

3am – Still 15 degrees

4am – Dropping to 14 degrees, which is still very warm for the night time

5am – 15 degrees

6am – It’s 16 degrees and sunny to start your day off!

7am – Still 16 degrees and sunshine all the way

8am – 17 degrees (it’s going to be another scorcher!)

9am – 19 degrees and no chance of rain…a beach day on the cards perhaps?

10am – 20 degrees (phew!)

11am – 20 degrees

12pm – 20 degrees with a bit of cloud (thankfully, it’s hot!)

1pm – 21 degrees, no chance of rain

2pm – 21 degrees and mostly sunny. No chance of rain

3pm – Get your sun hat out because it’s full sun and 20 degrees

4pm – 20 degrees full sun

5pm – Drinks in the garden time? It’s 20 degrees and full sun

6pm – 20 degrees and glorious sunshine

7pm – Dropping slowly now…19 degrees

8pm – 19 degrees

9pm – Slowly dropping even more now to 17 degrees

10pm – 16 degrees, and good news, no rain (just in case you’re still out having drinks in the garden)

11pm – 16 degrees…it’s going to be another warm night!
