The West Strand Harley Davidson garage may be developed into a new homeware store.

If the proposals are approved then a homeware operator has agreed to take the unit, but it is not stated which store this would be.

The Bowker dealership closed last December due to the financial pressure of the pandemic.

In accordance with other retailers in the area, the proposed opening hours are 08.00am – 22.00pm Monday – Saturday and 09.00am – 20.00pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

The store will retain the existing 17 car parking spaces but no more will be added.

The application proposal does not seek to make any amendments or changes to the external appearance of the building, internal arrangements nor external landscaping or car parking area.

The application seeks only to change the use of the building to a non-food retail use so there are no design issues created as a result of this proposal.
