Firefighters free casualty from vehicle after Penwortham crash

A person has been freed from a vehicle by firefighters after a crash in Penwortham.

The collision involved two vehicles in Golden Way and happened just after 4pm on Monday (5 July).

Two fire engines from Preston and Bamber Bridge attended the scene. Firefighters used small tools and a longboard to release the casualty.

The person was given first aid before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Crews from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
