The family fun days will take place across Preston at the end of July

Families are being invited to have fun finding a new home in the Preston area with a largely outdoors family fun day.

Anwyl Homes are hosting a special event across three locations.

The socially distanced and largely outdoors family fun day is taking place at Bluebell Meadows in Fulwood, Lawrence Gardens in Barton and Stonebridge Fold in Longridge from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, July 31.

There will be entertainment including live acoustic music, plus food and refreshments such as wood-fired pizzas, crepes, ice cream and cakes, with activities for all ages including outdoor games, along with a chance to view the show homes and some surprises on arrival.

Matthew Gould, sales director for Anwyl Homes Lancashire, said: “We recognise that buyers with children want to involve them in finding a new home as ultimately they will live there too.

“Being part of that process can help youngsters feel more settled when it comes to moving and so we want to make the whole experience enjoyable for everyone.

“We have a good choice of family-sized homes in three locations – all within a 10-minute drive of each other – and recognising how important outside space is to homeowners we will be hosting the event in the show home gardens.

“We’d encourage people to book a place, but there is the option to just come along on the day and those who have already purchased are welcome to join in the fun.

“After such a long period of restrictions we’re really excited to be bringing people together and helping the new community get to know each other.

“We’ll be adhering to the latest Government guidance and carrying out regular cleaning throughout the day to ensure a safe and fun-filled afternoon for everyone who attends.”

There are also lots of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors by bike or on foot with established cycle routes and areas of natural beauty within easy reach of the homes.”
