23 areas of Preston and South Ribble see a rise in Covid cases in seven days leading up to 14 July

23 places in Preston and South Ribble have seen an increase in coronavirus cases in the week leading up to 14 July.

This comes after ‘freedom day’ was yesterday (Monday 19 July) which saw the majority of Covid restrictions eased.

Areas with increased stats include Lostock Hall, Fulwood and Farington.

Figures are updated weekly by Public Health England in the government’s dashboard, with an interactive map of cases.

Below is the full list of positive cases by area from 7 July to 14 July. Figures for the previous week (30 June to 7 July) are shown in brackets.

The latest data shows Preston’s Covid case rate per 100,000 over the last seven days is 399 an increase from previous data.

England’s rate stands as 378, an increase from previous data.
