Successful shift for police dog Shadow with arrests in Preston and Chorley

Police dog Shadow had a successful shift this week, helping with two separate arrests in Preston and Chorley.

After being sent to a burglary in Preston by the Force Incident Manager, PD Shadow found the suspect inside the address.

A pursuit in Chorley followed straight after, and with two out of three suspects detained, PD Shadow tracked and located the third suspect who was hidden in bushes.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police Dog Unit said: “FIM spots a burglary on screen in Preston and quickly gets PD Shadow to scene. Suspect found inside the address & arrested.

“Then straight to Chorley – with 2 out 3 detained following a pursuit, @LancsTacOps turned to PD Shadow who tracks & locates 3rd suspect hidden in bushes.”
