Some 300 supporters of Rosemere Cancer Foundation enjoyed a walk on the sunny side of the bay when they trekked the six miles from Arnside Pier to Kents Bank last Sunday (6th June) in the charity’s guided Cross Bay Walk across the sands of Morecambe Bay.

Their collective efforts look set to raise more than £10,000 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation projects.

The charity’s chief officer Dan Hill said: “I can’t tell you how good it felt to be among our wonderful, loyal supporters again.

“Even the weather smiled on us with the most perfect conditions that I have ever known for this annual event, which obviously couldn’t happen last year because of the pandemic but which thankfully, we were able to hold this year, albeit with a few Covid-19 safety restrictions.

“Thank you to everyone who walked and made the day so special.”
