Preston City Council has announced a number of new local walk-in clinics for residents to receive their Covid-19 vaccinations.

The council said these sites make getting the jab easier and more convenient, with clinicians on hand to answer questions and address any concerns people might have.

Anybody over the age of 18 is now eligible to receive a Covid-19 vaccine at any clinic venue. No appointment is needed, and residents can walk in during operating hours.

Hot weather has been predicted throughout the week, so arrive prepared with a drink and sunscreen as there may be a wait upon arrival.

Anybody living or working in Preston and its surrounding areas, as well as carers for those who live in the local area, can access a vaccination via walk-in and mobile sites.

The clinics will be running throughout the day, and there is no need to book an appointment. Residents will be greeted by marshals, who will direct you to the right place and explain the process.

Once you have received your vaccination, there is a waiting area where the team will make sure you are well. You will also be provided with information on how to manage any side effects you may experience.

Social distancing measures will be in place throughout, and please remember to wear a mask unless you are exempt. Please check which site is offering which vaccine below before you attend.
