Plans proposed to turn Sharoe Green car garage into Spar convenience store

Plans have been submitted to redevelop Sharoe Green car garage into a new Spar convenience store.

The plans include the demolition of the existing building and a new two-story store being built.

There will be 13 new car parking spaces, two cycle spaces and two disability spaces.

30 new jobs will also be created as a result of the development, by the Spar group, as well as retaining ten existing jobs.

Plans state that the convenience store will be open from 6am-11pm seven days a week.

The shop will be built with red brick and a grey slate roof as well as aluminium windows.

A date to discuss the plans has not yet been set.
