Majority of areas in Preston and South Ribble see a rise in coronavirus cases in the seven days leading up to 9 June

There has been a rise in Covid cases in most areas of Preston and South Ribble in the week leading up to 9 June.

Areas such as St Matthew’s, Haslam Park and Walton-le-Dale have all seen a rise as well as other places.

Figures are updated weekly by Public Health England in the government’s dashboard, with an interactive map of cases.

Preston’s current Covid case rate per 100,000 over the last seven days is 277, an increase from previous data.

England’s rate is 70, also an increase.
