M55 near Preston reopens after incident causes tailbacks

The M55 near Preston has reopened after an incident caused tailbacks.
There were closures on both sides of the motorway, between junction 1 at Broughton roundabout and junction 3 at Wesham Interchange.
The incident happened this evening (Wednesday 9 June) shortly after 6pm, and diversions were put in place.
Details of the incident have not yet been confirmed, but Highways North West tweeted that the road had reopened at around 8pm.
