The £6m redevelopment of a Preston city centre building into high end apartments and offices is complete.
Buckingham House in Glovers Court, which used to house Browns Bar and Truth nightclub, has been transformed by TSS Properties, the company behind the City Bridge Apartments scheme.
The new apartments feature walk-in wardrobes, hotel-style fob key door locks, smart controlled radiators, video intercom system, CCTV throughout, superfast fibre broadband and more.
A YouTube video shows inside the development.
All of the 24 apartments were pre-let before the project completed, with the majority being reserved six months ago in the midst of lockdown.
A spokesperson for TSS Properties said: “We launched Buckingham House at the start of the pandemic, which had its challenges along the way, but using local suppliers and local tradespeople has helped keep jobs alive and businesses running.
“The fact all apartments were pre-let shows the rental market is still very strong, even during these uncertain times. This clearly indicates the positive outlook people have.”
Ajay from local estate agents, Kingswood, who pre-let the apartments, agreed: “Preston is seeing a boom along with most parts of the country.
“Some key factors are affordable housing prices compared to larger cities like Manchester, higher capital gains rises and the investment and regeneration in the city. We are seeing growth in all sectors like never before and it does not seem to be showing any signs of slowing down.
“This sell-out development at Buckingham House clearly shows the appetite the city has. Credit to TSS on redeveloping most of Glovers Court, which will now become the hottest place to stay in the city centre, given its location and amenities nearby.”

The TSS spokesperson continued: “Preston City Council is investing and improving on infrastructure, working on masterplans such as Stoneygate.
“As such, we believe the property market, especially in the city centre, will see a shift from retail based, to a mix of retail, leisure and living. We expect the latter to pave the way for more independent retailers and keeping up the demand in the city, where other towns and cities are struggling.”
TSS has over 200 apartments in the pipeline.
