Preston Labour’s manifesto for the 2021 City Council elections is titled Building Resilience and Recovery in Preston.
Among the policy commitments is an investment of an additional £1m in Covid-19 recovery, tackling climate change, and Community Wealth Building.

Labour Leader of Preston City Council Councillor Matthew Brown said: ‘‘The Covid-19 pandemic has been a collective trauma we have all experienced and has exposed the structural inequalities which must be addressed by local action.
“Labour in Preston will ensure we lift people up and rebuild our city to ensure everyone shares in Preston’s success.
“With a Labour led County Council and Police and Crime Commissioner we will instigate transformative change so local people and businesses are central to Preston’s future.
“Labour will work with partners to purchase and recruit from our local community and deepen our commitment to a democratic economy to share prosperity and tackle the climate emergency.”
