A huge fire was dealt with at a former Preston city centre nightclub in the early hours of Saturday (1 May)
The now derelict premises in Church Street used to be Mokai, Rumes, PR1 and more.
Crews from Preston, Bamber Bridge, Fulwood and Penwortham tackled the fire.
A spokesperson forĀ Lancashire Fire and Rescue ServiceĀ said: “At 2.13am fire crews from Preston, Bamber Bridge, Fulwood and Penwortham responded to a fire on Shepherd Street in Preston.
“The fire involved a derelict commercial premises which was well alight when firefighters arrived.
“The number of fire engines was increased to ten to include the Stinger and aerial ladder platform.”
Firefighters used aerial appliances, breathing apparatus and jets to bring the fire under control by around 5.20am.

An eyewitness described the fire as ‘huge’ and said the city centre had been ‘completely blocked off to traffic’.
