A series of impressive photos by Fulwood resident Roger Goodwin shows an RAF aircraft flying low over Preston.
The RAF A400 Atlas was spotted in the skies between around 1pm and 2pm yesterday (Saturday 29 May).
According to the Radar Box website, the aircraft left RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire at 11.21am and landed back there just over three hours later at 2.27pm.
A map of the flight path shows the A400 Atlas doing circuits over areas including Ashton-on-Ribble and Broughton.
Roger shared the photos in the We Are Fulwood Facebook group.
Ann Thomson replied to Roger’s post saying: “Was brilliant. It was so low over Ingol you could see the detail.”
Julia Clayton commented: “It was a beauty right over my back garden.”
Others described the sight as “stunning”, “amazing” and “fantastic”.
