A wild duck has been rescued by Preston firefighters.

The duck had become trapped in the front grille of a car.

After firefighters from Preston Fire Station freed the duck, police transported the bird to a local vet to be checked over.

A post from Preston Fire Station on Twitter said: “Not one of our most common types of rescue but very satisfying outcome when @Preston_Fire rescued a wild duck which had become trapped in the front grille of a car. Duck then transported to vets by Police colleagues for a quack check up.”
