Temporary road closure remains due to unsafe Fox Street building in Preston city centre

A temporary road closure is in place in Preston city centre due to an unsafe building.

The building at 3 Fox Street is on the corner of St Wilfrid Street.

Preston City Council Building Control has temporarily closed off the end of St Wilfrid Street and part of Fox Street until the building can be made safe.

A spokesperson for Preston City Council said: “The building owner and their contractor are making good progress to create a safe compound around the building so that traffic can resume.

“It’s hoped this will be completed over the weekend and the planters will be replaced at the top of Fox street.”
