Scrub fire in Preston stopped as emergency service warns of increased danger

A dry scrub fire that threatened a city centre business has been put out thanks to quick action from a Preston crew.


Posting about the fire on Twitter, a spokesperson for Preston Fire Station also warned that dry weather increases the risk of fires starting.

The spokesperson said: “Please take care and be mindful that even after a short period of dry weather that fires will occur. We are seeing an increase.”
