Documents detailing the sale are being held by Preston City Council but are restricted, preventing the public knowing further details on who the land has been sold to.

The documents are restricted due to financial or business affairs of an individual being involved – giving the city council powers to restrict the documents under the Local Government Act 1972.

On the Preston City Council website the sales report is described as ‘consent to a disposal of the Freehold Interest in the site of Motor Depot at Mariners Way, Preston to Hadi SM Investments Limited, the long leaseholder.’
