Preston Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a collision with a van in Preston.
AdvertisementOfficers were called to Fishergate Hill in Preston at 12.36pm yesterday (20 April) following reports a woman in her 50’s had been struck by a reversing Renault Master high top van.
She was temporarily trapped underneath the vehicle.

The woman, who is from Preston, suffered serious injuries to her back and pelvis and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she remains.
The driver of the van – a man in his 60’s – remained at the scene and was not injured in the collision.
No arrest has been made and officers are appealing for anyone with information, dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage to get in touch.

Sergeant Martin Wilcock, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Tactical Operations, said: “This collision has left a woman with life-threatening injuries and first and foremost my thoughts are with her and her family at this difficult time.
“We are now working to establish the full circumstances of this collision and would ask anybody who can assist to get in touch.”
