Multiple fires have been started deliberately in the space of a few hours on Easter Sunday.

Crews attended 13 anti-social behaviour fires between 6pm on Sunday 4 April and 4am on Monday 5 April.

Incidents involved the deliberate ignition of grass, bushes, woodland and bins.

A spokesperson for Preston Fire Station said the fires started in the Brookfield area before spreading to Grange and Moor Nook.

Two more serious fires in Deepdale and Plungington are being investigated by police.

Preston Fire Station firefighters have been busy over the Easter weekend, responding to barrels of engine oil on fire in Goosnargh, several fires along the Guild Wheel near Brockholes, and a scrub fire that threatened a city centre business.
