Haslam Park playground has reopened following nearly four months of refurbishment.
The park closed in November 2020 for some much needed improvement works.
However, after the opening date being pushed back a few times, the playground can now be used again by residents.

Improvement works to the site include the refurbishment of some of the existing equipment as well as some new equipment, including installation of a new space net, double bump slide, nest swing and a mini trampoline and safer surfacing.
Ally Brown, director of communities and environment at Preston City Council, said: “We’re really pleased to have the refurbished children’s play area at Haslam Park open in time for the school Easter holidays.
“We appreciate both the funding from Lancashire Environmental Fund and the invaluable work of the Friends of Haslam Park group.
“Parks and open spaces have been vital for our physical and mental health over the last year, and these spaces now present the perfect outdoor location to meet up with friends and family, however, we would like to remind visitors to adhere to the current Government guidelines to help keep everyone safe.”
