The Foxton Centre in Preston has been given support from businesses for this years Stop Food Waste Day, which took place on Wednesday (28 April).
Preston based Mersey Eco Grants who specialise in providing energy efficiency solutions for north west homes through government funded schemes, teamed up with W_rkspace who provide serviced office space in Preston and Bolton, to support The Foxton Centre with food donations.
All staff at the businesses, along with all of the companies who rent space across the W_rkspace buildings in Preston have been to raid their cupboards and bring any items that haven’t been eaten (but obviously still within their sell by date) and to donate them to the foodbank.

“Our foodbank helps those who are most in need of feeding themselves and their families by providing good quality food items to ensure their families don’t go hungry.
“Stop Food Waste Day is a great event to help highlight the issues of food going to waste, especially when there are still many people in our local area that can make good use of this precious resource.”
