Former working men’s club in Fishwick set to become apartments

A former social club off New Hall Lane in Fishwick looks set to be turned into apartments.

Fishwick Ramblers Working Men’s Club in Mornington Road has been closed for some time and plans have been submitted to Preston City Council to convert the building to a range of different apartments.

The plan is for 13 one-bedroom apartments to be built on the grounds, along with 14 car parking spaces.

The development will also create three part-time and three full-time jobs in the area.

The development is set to be carried out by Weaver Finch Ltd. of Bowness on Windermere.

The planning application was registered on 18 March and the council are yet to make a decision.
