Fishwick and St Matthews residents needed to become ‘Great Listeners’ in their community

FAM Big Local are recruiting a team of ten residents from Fishwick and St Matthews to be ‘Great Listeners.’


A Great Listener will ask the local community for their views on how to make life better for people in the area.

The organisation have some money from the Lottery to spend on community activities, so they need a team to choose what the money would best be spent on.

They are asking locals to ask their contacts whether this would be something they are interested in.

They will each receive ÂŁ20 shopping vouchers for dedicating just a couple of hours of their time from May until the end of July.

The Great Listeners will be trained and supported by a community worker, Nick Beddow, from Shared Places.

All applicants need is a love for the area, the patience to listen well, and a mobile phone.
