Commercial bin wagon fire at Haighton Green Lane extinguished in 90 minutes

This morning (Monday 26 April) at 8.38am, Preston and Fulwood firefighters tackled a fire involving a commercial bin wagon on Haighton Green Lane in Preston.

The fire was well established when crews arrived in the main body of the wagon.

Fire crews used breathing apparatus, three hose reels, a triple extension ladder and fog spike to extinguish the fire.

Crews were in attendance around 90 minutes.
