A nine-year-old’s birthday presents had been stolen in a car theft which took place on Monday (April 5) in the Moss Side area of Leyland.
AdvertisementSouth Ribble Police said the break-in occurred between 11.10pm and 11.20pm as the immediate response team attended the property in Leyland and arrested a 38 year old female and 40 year old male on suspicion of stealing from a motor vehicle.

Luckily most of the stolen presents and decorations have now been reunited with the nine-year-old’s parents ready for her birthday surprise.
A spokesperson for South Ribble Police said: “This should act as a timely reminder to please make sure no items of value are left on display and that you lock your vehicles at all times.”
The male and female who were arrested have been released under investigation whilst further enquiries are made into other possible offences.
