The donations were gratefully received

Light Foundation, in partnership with Blackburn-based Star Tissue UK and supported by the Mayor of Preston, Councillor David Borrow, made their annual visit to the Royal Preston Hospital to bring happiness and joy to young patients.

Toys and chocolate selection boxes were delivered after they were donated by Star Tissue UK.

Unfortunately, the groups were unable to visit the children themselves due to the current health and safety restrictions – but they know the children had smiles on their faces.

With the current circumstances, children at Royal Preston Hospital need happiness more than ever.

A Spokesperson from the Light Foundation said: “We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to Star Tissue UK for such a memorable afternoon, and to the brilliant NHS workers for their ongoing service during difficult times.”

Khalid Saifullah, Managing Director of Star Tissue UK said:
“It was an honour to have partnered with Light Foundation on such a positive cause.

“It was humbling to have helped lift spirits among young people and bring smiles to their faces, at what are very trying times.”
