Preston police and Fire and Rescue Service dealt with an incident on West Strand today.
The road was currently closed in both directions, from Guild Way to Watery Lane until the afternoon.

The incident, which was dealt with by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, involved scaffolding that had become loose.
The Fire and Rescue team said: “At 9:27am on the 11th March, two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended reports of a dangerous structure on West Strand, Preston.
“The incident involved a handrail on top of a mill consisting of scaffold tubing, which was insecure. The rope rescue team from Chorley, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston also attended.
“Crews used three rope packs, two tirfor winches, general purpose lines and the aerial ladder platform. Crews remain at the scene.”
Preston police have said: “We are currently dealing with an incident on West Strand and have had to temporarily shut the road both ways from Guild Way to Watery Lane – please find alternative routes for the time being.”
