A young boy from Penwortham organised a Comic Relief fundraising virtual lunch to raise funds for the charity.
AdvertisementManny Cooper, who attends Howick C of E school, organised the lunch for his school friends who have spent a lot of time apart due to Covid restrictions.
He followed the theme of ‘Raising a Smile for Comic Relief.’

He and his friends all told each other jokes whilst enjoying a hand prepared and delivered lunch order made by Manny.
He managed to raise £325 with his festivities, which will benefit Comic Relief.
His mum Nazma Ahmed said: “We are so proud of Manny’s fantastic achievement as he really wanted to help families who are hungry, or who have been separated and need legal aid.
“Manny thought up this whole idea by himself to fundraise for this brilliant cause and has worked hard planning and organising – we are not surprised he ended up raising much more than his target.
“He even managed to bring lots of laughs to his family and friends in the process, which is something that made us all smile.”
