Police dog Shadow tracks car thief in Cottam

Lancashire Police Dog Unit have spoken out in gratitude for one of their new recruits on social media.

Shadow the dog was able to assist Preston police late last night as a car thief tried to escape capture in the Cottam area.

A twitter post written from the @LancsPolDogUnit reads:

‘Overnight in the Cottam area of Preston a burglar/car thief was disturbed by @PrestonPolice & made off on foot.

Team 3 new boy Shadow was called in to help. He tracked the suspect out of the estate into woodland where he found him hiding in dense undergrowth #OneDetained #T3Dogs.’
