Burst water main in Walton-le-Dale now fixed

A mains water pipe that had burst in the early hours of this morning at Walton Green, Walton-le-Dale has now been fixed.

Some people may have experienced low water pressure or no water at all as a result.

United Utilities have now fixed the burst pipe and have told the public that it may take up to two hours for water pressure to return to normal.

Some people may also experience some discolouration of their water, this is due to the repair work on the pipe and should clear after a short time

United Utilities have apologised for the inconvenience.
