Granite House in Strand Road has held a special induction day for young people, supported by Preston Jobcentre Plus.
The Ashton-on-Ribble firm supported the government Kickstart Scheme by organising the induction day prior to arranging interviews with young people who are interested in employment with the company.
The induction day, which took place on Friday 5 March, gave candidates the opportunity to see whether the company is somewhere they would like to work for the long term.

It also gave Granite House staff the opportunity to see where the interested individuals would fit in throughout the business.
Despite the Kickstart Scheme only requiring companies to take people on for six months under Universal Credit, Granite House is looking for people who want full-time employment and to make a career for themselves.
