A planning application has been submitted to turn the first and second floor Barney’s Piano Bar in Church Street into apartments.

The plans for the city centre building include five one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment across the first and second floors.

An annexe property is also planned for the rear of the Munshi and Partners development.

The application states the aim is for the development to be in keeping with the surrounding area.

Barney’s Piano Bar will continue to trade on the ground floor of the building once lockdown restrictions are lifted.
