A warning has been issued after fake door-to-door sellers targeted addresses in Penwortham.
South Ribble Police took to Twitter to urge the public to take care after they received reports of suspicious males claiming to be selling Lakeland products.
It appears the fake salespeople were foiled for the most part by residents who asked for their ID badges.

The tweet said: “Sgt Atkinson and team have had reports of suspicious males knocking on doors claiming to be selling Lakeland products in the Penwortham area.
“Thankfully most people we have spoken with asked for ID badges and were dubious. Please be careful when it comes to door-to-door sellers.”
