The opening of the new mass vaccination hub in Preston City Centre yesterday (18 February) went smoothly.
GPs, nurses, pharmacists, volunteers, admin staff, cleaners amongst others helped the opening day go to plan.

The site was facilitated with support from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, The Royal Navy and The British Army.
@CentralLancCCGs tweeted saying: “We are incredibly grateful for their tremendous efforts in supporting the Covid-19 vaccination programme in central Lancashire.”

Also pictured is Mr Alexander Mckenna, one of the first patients to receive his vaccination at the new site, who said: “I am really proud to have received my Covid-19 vaccination today. It is a great relief.”
Hundreds of people aged 65 and over, and those who are clinically vulnerable are being invited to book a coronavirus vaccination at the new vaccination centre.
People are being reminded to turn up to their appointments on time to prevent queuing at the centre.
