Investigation underway into cause of bedroom fire at property in Preston street

An investigation into a house fire in Preston yesterday (Sunday 7 February) is underway.

Two fire engines from Penwortham and Preston were called to the incident, which involved a bedroom at a house on Osborne Street, off Christchurch Street, at around 7pm.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a ventilation to extinguish the fire.

Three people were assessed at the scene of the fire by the North West Ambulance Service, however there were no major injuries.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
