A heart-shaped flower installation in Avenham Park is bringing cheer to park visitors.
The display appeared in the park on Saturday (27 February), and was created by Preston-based wedding florist Stef from Honey’s Hideaway.
A sign accompanying the heart reads: “Because flowers still grow even after the harshest of winters.”
Posting on Instagram, Stef said: “I did the heart hoping to lift people’s spirits after what has been for so many the toughest of the three lockdowns we’ve had to endure so far.
“Avenham and Miller Park has been a place for people to escape through the pandemic, so putting my heart up in there felt the perfect place for it.
“We are lucky to have such a beautiful park in our city and a community that enjoys it so much.”
In her post, Stef shared photos from park visitors who had enjoyed seeing the heart.
Many commented how much the display had brightened their days, with one saying: “The most beaut flower installation in the park today. @honeyshideaway thanks for brightening up P Town.”
