Details of the funeral to a former Preston councillor have been confirmed.Advertisement
Peter Pringle, who represented Ingol ward for the Liberal Democrats, passed away on Tuesday 19 January.
Mr Pringle was a councillor between 2003 and 2015.
A statement from Mr Pringle’s family released to Blog Preston said: “We would just like to say thank you so much for all the kind words, tributes and thoughts that so many friends and colleagues of Dad’s have passed on.”
The funeral is due to take place at 1pm on Monday (8 February) at Preston Crematorium. Anyone planning to attend is reminded of the limited number of mourners allowed under the national lockdown rules.

Liberal Democract councillor John Potter said at the time of Mr Pringle’s death: “Myself and the whole of the Preston Lib Dems are truly sad to hear about the passing of our former Councillor Peter Pringle.
“Peter was a brilliant local councillor from 2003 until he retired in 2015. He was a community man, a complete gentleman and Ingol through and through.
“Always the voice for his community and ever ready for a joke and a laugh, Peter will be missed by many.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are with Patricia and his family. Rest in peace Peter.”
