Two local community groups are ensuring children are ready to get back to school by delivering free hot meals during the last week of homeschooling.
Preston Here For Humanity and West Preston Methodist Church are working together on the Kids Eat First initiative, which starts on Monday 1 March.
A spokesperson for the groups said: “It is apparent that anxieties for families around uniforms, bus fares, dinners and other things relating to school expenses are high.
“We hope to help by ensuring children get hearty meals this week before they return to school, something we think is vital.”
