Deli, barbers, beautician, florist and more planned with new Preston city centre development Bishopgate Gardens

The Heaton Group have announced it is looking for budding entrepreneurs it can support with six ready-to-go business premises across Preston, at its Bishopgate Gardens site in the Harris Quarter.

This opportunity will see the chosen entrepreneurs take over brand new shops, designed to a high specification, which feature a deli, a coffee shop, a barbers, a beauticians, a hairdressers, co-working space and a florist when they open in June 2021.

The Heaton team has worked closely with award-winning architects and interior designers to create unique and quirky retail spaces which will be fully fitted and finished to an exceptional standard.

There will also be a booking app to support the businesses further, which will allow customers to book appointments or tables directly.

The shops will be part of their Bishopgate Gardens development, which is located in the city’s Market Quarter and will be home to 130 luxury apartments when it opens in June 2021.

When fully open the development will be home to over 200 residents and potential customers for the on-site retailers below. 

The development is also close to a number large office blocks with over 500 staff. The whole building will be fitted with 100mbps fibre speeds to allow residents to work from home, and businesses in the area to use the space as break out space.

Additionally, Bishopgate Gardens is on the pedestrian walking route to Preston’s busy Bus Station into the City Centre and popular nearby market quarter ensuring high footfall throughout the week from local residents and commuters.

Each of the units will overlook the new plaza that is being created, a landscaped area which will merge with the new streetscape planned by Preston Council.

It will provide space for residents to meet, work and socialise, with an outside seating area for the Coffee Pod and space for events throughout the year. Each retail unit will have space for outdoor displays and advertising.
