Covid-19 cases dropping in most areas of Preston and South Ribble

Covid-19 cases map to 18 February 2021

The majority of areas in Preston and South Ribble continue to see a decrease in cases of Covid-19.

Farington, Lea and Marina, and Preston City Centre are among the 22 areas where cases have declined. Gregson Lane and Coupe Green had the lowest number, recording fewer than three cases.

While only Leyland South West’s cases stayed the same this week, the remaining nine areas registered increases. Broughton and Wychnor had a large increase, from 13 to 30, as did Ribbleton, going from 23 cases to 43.

Preston’s Covid-19 case rate per 100,000 over the last seven days is 230.6. This is a decrease in previous data, but still means the city has the 11th highest infection rate in England.
