A Walton-le-Dale man has appeared in court charged with causing death by careless driving.
John Bowers, 33, of Sefton Road, Walton-le-Dale, appeared before Manchester Magistrates’ Court during Saturday (23 January).
He was charged following a fatal crash on the M60 on Thursday (21 January).
Shortly before 8.45am emergency services were called to a crash on the M60 – close to Junction 20 – involving a Kia Ceed and a lorry.

The driver of the Kia, Shirley-Ann Dumbuya, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes, released by Greater Manchester Police, were paid by her family to the 38-year-old married mother-of-four from Moston who was in her final year studying nursing at the University of Bolton.
In a statement her family said: “Our beautiful mum, words cannot express how amazing she was. A truly God-fearing inspiration to everyone she met.
“She will always be in our hearts and will always be sorely missed.
“Our rock, our mum – never ever to be forgotten. Hold your loved ones that little bit tighter and appreciate every moment no matter how small. We miss you mum.”
